Introducing Natalie Hill
Early on, I had to mix teaching with adventure, because I thought I couldn't survive without adventure and novelty in my life. My first teaching job, soon out of college (at Arizona State University in Tempe), was in an international school in Caracas, Venezuela, teaching middle school science. Next, I taught multiple subjects in two Eskimo villages in Alaska, Russian Mission on the Yukon River and Pt. Hope on the Arctic Ocean. Then, I went to Whidbey Island, Washington, where I taught 6th grade. Finally, able to survive without the stimulation on of challenging exotic places, I was able to return to my birthplace of Phoenix, Arizona. I taught 4th and 6th grades in an inner city school (a job that would have seemed deadly dull to me in my 20's, but which in my 40's, I loved).

Most of my Phoenix students were reading below grade level, many could read at only a 1st or 2nd grade level, and a few couldn't read at all. Really, my job was more typical of the challenge of a 1st grade teacher, a challenge for which I was totally unprepared.

I've worked with students of all ages, individually and in small groups teaching math, reading, writing and test preparation. Additionally, I work with children and adults, helping them clear limiting emotions and beliefs to allow our natural gifts to arise. I am a private tutor and an emotional freedom coach. I see students and clients for individual sessions and I lead workshops in EFT and other emotional freedom energy methods. What I've discovered in the last few years is the most exciting part of my teaching career and I believe it's where I can make the greatest contribution.
My current work is at the interface of thought, movement and emotions. I work with children and adults to eliminate the blocks to brilliance in any area of life. To read examples of this work, read about Liz and Mike. In one story of Liz, two Brain Gym movements enabled Liz to go from unable to read - to reading easily in a Go Fish game we made up. And see how Mike overcame a belief that he didn't have any ideas when invited to brainstorm. After a quick session of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) he again felt intelligent and confident and brainstormed freely (which he has continued to do since that day).
Because Integrated Teaching goes deep, helping to transform our underlying blocks to brilliance, I call it Learning Inside-Out.
